The Importance of Cybersecurity in a Remote Work Environment
Working remotely in the U.S. has been on the rise for several years. In 2015, 3.9 million people in the U.S. worked remotely. With the COVID-19 health crisis changing the work environment for many, 16 million people are now working from home, according to a April 2020 Slack survey. While this does provide a safer work environment for many during the pandemic, it does open the door to an increase in cybercrimes.
